Eric is a Scot and a retired GP.
Prior to his arrival in New Zealand Eric spent 13 years working in Africa (mainly in Swaziland). He has been a Rotarian for over 40 years in 4 countries and a club president twice.
Eric has been involved with ROMAC since its inception in New Zealand.

Ed Mitchell, Remuera, Auckland

Ed is a Paediatrician who qualified at St George’s Hospital Medical School, London and has worked in the UK, Zambia and New Zealand.
From 2001 Ed has been the Professor of Child Health Research at the University of Auckland, a position funded by Cure Kids.
In 1996, Ed was awarded with a Doctor of Science by the University of London for his work on “The Epidemiology and Prevention of SIDS” and has received several awards for his landmark study of SIDS.
Ed is the elected President of ISPID.

Geoff is a professional trustee and corporate administrator with over 40 years experience in these roles.
A Rotarian since 1996, Geoff joined the ROMAC NZ committee in 2010 as its Administrator and later Treasurer.
Lorraine Bartlett Downtown Auckland, Patient Operations, Rotary Club of Auckland Harbourside Lorraine’s role entails all aspects of the logistics for getting the children to NZ including obtaining Passports where necessary, NZ Visas and making all travel arrangements.

Leigh Kelly, Helensville, ROMAC NZ Trainer, Rotary Club of Henderson Leigh is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years experience in the aged care sector from staff nurse, to Rest Home Owner and Manager.
Leigh has dedicated her life to helping people getting welfare needs met And to Rotary of which she has been a member for many years.
Leigh joined the ROMAC committee in 2011. Her primary role is co-ordinating training programmes for medical professionals from the Pacific Islands
